I hope they add input filtering from inside the arrangement, rather than directly at the "device" side, since it takes quite a few S1 device entries to set everything up well to use this workaround. I can include some screenshots of the S1 device setup later, at that point it would make much more sense. This is really only necessary for multitimbral synths if you aren't channelizing the IAC busses and using multitimbral synths then it wouldn't really matter so much. Naturally, instead of selecting channels 1-16 in the device, you just select 1. and select those as the appropriate inputs, instead of just a lump "IAC Bus 1" Synfire device.

Should you want to upgrade, from Artist 3 to Professional 3, well that would be £209.00 on top of the £131.70 for both Studio One Artist 3 and the VST/Rewire plugin. The temporary workaround is to create an S1 device for something like "Synfire IAC 1:1" for IAC Bus 1, channel 1, and "Synfire IAC 1:2" for Bus 1, channel 2, etc. (Artist Includes a Rewire / VST addon you can purchase however). You end up duplicating notes across tracks and it doesn't work. If you use a device for say, IAC Bus 1: channels 1-16, and apply that as input to an instrument track, then anything on channels 1-16 will trigger.
